Yeah, I like that one too. The red highlights are a nice, sporty touch.
Not knowing a lot about g shocks but reading bout people customising them I wondered if I could put the silver bezel on.I then saw the pvd version with a blue Beale and then a twisted metal one. Now I'm lusting after g shocks

I ventured into Dom H's Hatton Garden lair yesterday and emerged with this.
Wanted one for ten years so I'm one very happy bunny.
I was there on Thursday too picking up a JLC Master Control Home Time which I can't for the life of me photograph
Growing to really like it. If Mr H is reading and has a photo he could share that would be good? And thank him for his advice.

We must have crossed on the stairs then!

That shot was only taken on my desk with an iPhone and an angle poise lamp. It even managed to spin through ninety degrees between here and there. It certainly added to the occasion picking up the watch from Dom's little office high above the diamonds. Much better than receiving a cardboard box from Dave the postman.I was there on Thursday too picking up a JLC Master Control Home Time which I can't for the life of me photograph

I really like those - very understated and timeless (odd concept for a watch, but you know what I mean... )I nearly ordered one recently, but then another shiny thing came along, but that's still on my list.

There's a sticky thread at the top of the forum that goes into detail about how to get a good shot. As an amateur with a basic all-purpose camera this is how I usually do it. Go outside in the garden and very quickly (only takes 3-5 minutes) snap off 25 shots at various angles from the sun and angles and distances to the watch with a macro mode on your camera if you've got one. You should get at least one decent photo and you never know which one it will be until you see it on your computer.I was there on Thursday too picking up a JLC Master Control Home Time which I can't for the life of me photograph

All my favourite photos were taken outside because the abundance of natural light makes it so much easier and a bit of grass or bush in the background is a nice backdrop. If your camera has a cloudy day setting it will help bring out the colour if the weather is bad.
As a second step I use a free programme called Photoscape, which is really easy to use and lets you do stuff like cropping, resize, sharpen, correct the colour and lighten the photo to get a better image. It only takes a few minutes once you get the hang of it. I try not to do too much because in my view, if you can tell a photo has been edited then you have overdone it. Going back to look at your original photos helps.
I look forward to seeing something in the Wrist Check thread

This is an image of your new Jaeger 'Hometime'. Good to meet you last week...
This was Steve 'Easy_Targa' leaving the office with his new Omega Moonwatch.
Good to meet you two guys (and all the others!) this week!
Mmmn, minty Memovox.
Sellers pictures for now. ...
Ah, the joys of setting up a midnight ebay snipe then trying to put it of of your mind and get to sleep!
Checking the phone this morning to see if I'd won was like running downstairs as a child on Christmas morning to see what was under the tree.
And now I have to thumb twiddle whilst it makes its way across the pond, laboriously plods through customs and finally gets delivered by Royal Snail to an address several hundred miles away from the address on the label.

Thank you I am happy with it. There is something about the style of JLC, like your incoming, which appeals. Dreaming of a Duometre now.
Also thanks to Dominic H for posting the picture, and the photography advice, but my pictures still can't match the official ones and make my wrist look ridiculously small!

I've never, ever, been able to take decent photographs of watches. My website, www.classicchronographs.co.uk is a testament to bad photography. I believe the 'professionals' take multiple photographs and then over lay them to give a greater depth perspective, but personally I like your suggestion of taking a picture with a bush in the background ;-)Lorne said:
