What model Patek is it? It's stunning
Absolutely! The first time I tried it on, I knew it was 'the one'. The model is the 5205R-010. I haven't actually got mine yet, that was a pic from the net (pretty sure it is Geneva) - mine is on order and I should pick it up this month. The watch is costing £31.5k new from a Patek dealer - so if you bought from a grey market dealer or used you could certainly get it cheaper, maybe around £27k. As I want to keep this one forever though I was happy to pay list price to get a brand new one from my local dealer, my name on the docs, plus for the peace of mind at this price point. Pateks hold their value pretty well, but after dealer margin and depreciation expect a 20%-25% hit on a brand new watch from an AD, probably only 10% buying used.

Not that I am in the market for such an Item, but out of interest is the item made to order? If not, do AD's have such items in stock or is there a wait for delivery?
It wouldn't be made to order by PP, but the AD probably would have to order it in specifically for you. It would be quite a rare watch to find in their general stock - though does happen - just the black dial is a more difficult dial to manufacture than the white one due to the lacquering, so there is less supply of this specific model. I have seen the white gold version in the window display at a number of ADs and even the rose gold with white dial I've seen a couple of times. Just this specific rose gold with black dial that is a little bit more tricky to track down, hence needing to order it in.This is a watch I've wanted since the late 80s when it came out. A Longines Conquest VHP Titanium. I'd forgotten about them but saw one recently and it rekindled my interest. I've always been drawn to technology and this watch was unusual for having a temperature compensated quartz movement. The VHP stands for Very High Precision and when adjusted correctly it is accurate to around 10s a year.
It has quite a small dial by today's standards but that's fine by me. The most unexpected benefit is the weight. It's now my daily wear and it's so light.

There's a lot to like about a nice lightweight high precision quartz watch as an everyday wearer.
