I didn't think I would ever take the plunge but after many, many years of lusting and dreaming I have finally bought my very own Rolex Submariner.

Purchased today from Dom at Hackett Watches with delivery expected mid next week. It's going to be a long few days smile

Anyway...Here she is,

Congratulations - looks a lovely piece.

It's very, very blue. Is that a quirk of digital photography or is it that bright IRL?
Depends on the light but it is pretty blue.

Here is a shot next to my BLNR to give you feel for the hue.

I still own my late Mums 1920's Art Deco gold Rolex watch. Been threatening my other half that we really should sell it and buy something to wear, like an omega or something. Wife hasn't ever worn the Rolex in the thirty years since Mums passing.

i don't reckon luck had very much to do with it... i know people tend to say this a lot but it always sounds odd to me.

Possibly the best Breathing I've seen yet; love it! But then I am partial to a bit of colour on watches...

Tomorrow sees the arrival of a Linde Werdelin Spidolite II, a bit of a left field choice especially as I've not seen one in the flesh but couldn't resist the forged carbon case.
