I don't usually do "unboxing" shots, but this is a very special watch for me. One I've lusted after for absolutely years.
That is a pretty spectacular thing. But.... Is it just me, or do these two pictures make it look like something from a market stall? Absolutely NOT slamming the watch - it looks amazing.

phew someone said it. The first one particularly. Also is that a wood effect sticker on the top of the presentation box? It looks a bit bubbly.

Not a faux veneer – I’m going to presume the effect you’re noticing is Andy’s Artex ceiling being reflected.Absolutely NOT slamming the watch - it looks amazing.

I've swapped the box picture, the first one was reflecting the ceiling above & looked crap.

THe "transit packaging" is certainly nothing special, but the watch is well protected & hermetically sealed.

I take back everything I said then.I've swapped the box picture, the first one was reflecting the ceiling above & looked crap.
But your ceiling looks cheap, instead.

I wish I knew enough about watches to get as excited as everyone on here for you Andy. I can actually sense the excitement on the forum for you. Congrats on the purchase.
If you like watches or even appreciate the craft behind it, do a little research into the heritage and workmanship involved with PP watches. They really are engineering works of art.Parsnip said:
Combined wedding/30th pressie - was hunting for a older Breitling Superocean, but no joy on the one I wanted.
Always discounted the PO because I have tiny girl wrists, but having tried the 42mm and the 43.5, the bigger one looks better IMO (the 45.5 chrono looked suitably daft). Hadn't seen the blue GMT in the flesh (but loved it on the Omega site) and was originally set on the black on black leather, but went for the blue on blue GMT in the end. Love it
Have absolutley no need for the GMT complication as I don't tend to take a nice watch when travelling, but the orange I think is what sold it for me. Can use it to annoy people by constantly giving them the 24hr time I guess

Don't expected this will get much appreciation on here due to the brand, but this is my 2000 auto which I've just had serviced. It's been in the draw for a good 10 years due to me always having something more import to spend my money on, and then being forgotten about.
It must be 22+ years old now, and prior to being consigned to the draw was my daily. In fact the first 2 links became bent when I stacked my mountain bike
Anyway I still absolutely love it and glad I dug it out and got it fixed up. I'm still happy with the mid size on my insect like wrist, no matter what my other half has to say about it.

In the "What watch are you buying in 2017" thread I said I am not going to buy any. Didn't last very long! This will be my first half decent watch I have bought since March 2015 so I'm all excited I gave in and bought a couple of cheapies from the £50 watch thread in November last year, worth £20 and £43, but those don't count.
I don't usually go for black cased watches, but the combination of the black case with big knobs, ivory dial and black sub-dials (panda) with multicoloured hands just hit all the right buttons for me.
Might put it on a strap, we'll see when it gets here.
