Discussion
I don't normally post in here, as I don't buy watches regularly at all.
My daily one is a CWC divers watch which I bought around 12 years ago, and currently is on a black Animal velcro strap. It's ok for daily wear but not very smart.
I've always liked the Omega Constellation as a smarter watch, but never was able to afford/justify getting one - especially new.
Anyway, this is now on its way.
It's not perfect - couple of scratches etc, which I may be able to do something about given recent experience renovating fountain pens, but I really like it and I don't think it was massively expensive at £700 with box and papers etc?

Just got my Glycine Airman 2000 back from a service and clean up from Richard at thewatchspot, service, relume, and bezel numbers repainted.
Saw someone selling an original Glycine Canvas strap in orange while it was away and I was looking for new watches on eBay, so whacked that on it too when it came back...

I like the Constellation, good value second hand too.. For me it would make a nice dress watch but strangely my Dad and Mother and Father in Law all wear one almost daily. FIL's is just like the one you've bought, MIL's is the ladies version, my Dad's is an "Ernie Els" limited edition with a "golf ball" dimpled face.

Well done, when you REALLY want something it takes effort! In September 2007 I wanted the then new GMT2C, after some ringing around in the UK and getting smug waiting times I called some dealers in France, a week later I got the call so I managed to get a cheap Easyjet flight a few days later and that was that!

After longing for a Reduced speedy for a long time I stumbled across this rarer version on watchfinder. They didn't want to talk discounts, so after scouting eBay and Chrono24 24 I saved £900 and secured one!
I think I may have bought that one from watchfinder earlier this year! It sounds like I massively overpaid but I do love the the watch. I'm guessing you got that for around a grand mark so?!
Have had a databank in my collection for about 15 years now.
They are used when I'm doing labour that will seriously damage a watch (handling stone, sand and metals) and they are truly fked by the end of their life (unreadable screen etc). One lug gave way the other day while moving furniture, so I ordered this, my third one:
