Depends what it is, and how old it is. For a modern steel sports I'd be expecting maybe £450, iSTR it's about £600 for a day-date. Compare that with £700 for a steel JLC Master Compressor, and £1,200 for a steel AP RO.

By comparison that seems reasonable yes. But I had a Cartier Tank Francaise serviced about two years ago, it was looking a bit scratched and it had experienced water ingress which had stopped the movement. A quick inspection by a local independent revealed corrosion inside and a probable new movement required. It went back to Cartier and they sorted it out as a service and sent it back to me finished better than when it was new, all for £260.

Try PP........looking at circa £600 !.
