I've a Longines Legend Diver, used to own a Conquest Chrono, both great watches in their own different ways.

Had this on for the last couple of days, it has the best dial and handset of any watch I've ever owned and, bar a 5711, the best I've ever handled. Shame all my shots of it have been taken with a mobile...

Stop posting pictures of that GS. You're going to start me off investigating potentially divorce-inducing purchases.

It's a very lovely thing. I'm really attracted to the GS range since it represents top quality watchmaking without the brand name bks and OTT designs of some other manufacturers in that sector.

Out of interest, did you get it new or secondhand? I've spent quite a bit of time admiring a GMT in my local jewellers but I can't quite bring myself to part with 5 big ones just yet but also can't imagine that many come up on the used market.

I bought mine pre-owned for a chunk less than half of full retail, though it did need a good refurb. Grand Seikos do come up for sale pre-owned relatively often given that there aren't that many of them about, though you may have to hold out some time if you're looking for a particular model. As with many others GS watches make much more sense after someone else has taken the initial £ hit, Chrono24 would be a good place to start, I bought mine through TZ.

Thanks CardShark. I will take a look at those sites. Just out of interest, mind. I'm not buying one. Definitely not.

I check this thread every now and again and often a watch pops up which looks nice and it mentally added to the want list. Rarely does it then fall within budget.

I've bought two watches over the years from browsing the PH watch threads.

First is the classic Sinn 556.

Secondly is the Christopher Ward Pilot MkII.

I already had a diving watch which is a Citizen Titanium Aqualand II. I'm looking to get a matching titanium strap for this to get more use out of it when not diving. Any advice on where to source this? Would it be a Citizen only item or can I source elsewhere?

I picked this up in a market in Gdansk the other week. Raketa perpetual calendar from 1980 (perpetual all the way up to 2000).

Is that the Tag moon watch? So named because it can be seen from the moon?

hehe I have quite small wrists but it doesn't look quite as extreme in real life as that! For example, even my Explorer looks quite large in this photo

You do have slim wrists, what's the Explorer 41mm?

The Explorer is 39mm, that TAG is 42mm.

They do wear bigger than you'd think, probably because the bezel is pretty thin, so the dial looks, and in fact is, big. I'm wearing mine today.

Without a question, my favourite watch right now. Thinking strongly about a blue faced Yachty, but at the moment I don't want to buy it as I feel it would replace this as my daily!
