Hi Rich, I love the Pelagos and hoping mine arrives next week. Also very jealous of your location.
Wonder if the VX is still alive?!
It's lovely watch for the £££. Handsome thing too. I'm sure it will sell very well in the UK.Wonder if the VX is still alive?!
As for the VX, a year or so back I contacted the guy who bought it from me. He still had it then. Ace little car, loved every moment of owning it.

Even more pleased now it has its new bespoke strap from Jean Rousseau (in Piccadilly). Brings it to life, not that is was lacking before!
I really love that watch even more so now with that strap. I was on the lookout for that model a few months ago. Then the GO came along. Ah well gonna have to top the watch fund up a little. Its my year end on Sunday so will have to see whats left for me, I am sure there will be enough. 100thmonkey said:
Gone Dark Today to match my shirt
Nice watch, congratulations. But for me that watch sums up everything pointless about modern sports watches: Vastly unnecessary pressure rating, bezel digits that would be difficult to read at the bottom of a deep paddling pool, ditto the hands and markers, fragile bezel, easily damaged finish.
It defines "desk diver".
That is not to diminish its niceness as a watch, but it encapsulates all the folly of modern dive watches in one place.

Thank You, its alright at depth but no one I know who dives does so with a 'diver' its all computers now on the wrist, the essense of the dive watch is now in its ability to withstand pressure and know that you have a substantially engineered piece even if its not for the purpose intended. Lets face it the Chronograph of any variety from Daytona to Tag Heuer is only ever going to time an egg but we love a good toy us boysBut for me that watch sums up everything pointless about modern sports watches: Vastly unnecessary pressure rating, bezel digits that would be difficult to read at the bottom of a deep paddling pool, ditto the hands and markers, fragile bezel, easily damaged finish.
