Well, it's about as haute as horologerie gets. I must admit that JLC as a manufacturer leave me a bit cold. They change models far too frequently - in my view anyway - to be taken as seriously as the other prestige brands.Changing the subject, Sunday Best today - and I will wind it up before wearing it.....

Of course it is, but not everyone understands that certain brands or models leave others completely non plused – especially given how much the cost or the complications they've managed to engineer. On a technical level, there's a lot to be admired and praised, but from a practical point of view, the design execution can leave an awful lot to be desired, and often overshadows the simple point of a watch......telling the time (and date).
Whilst many will happily circle-jerk over some of the brands/models members' post about owning or considering, there are still some of us who haven't yet taken leave of our senses, irrespective of the marvellous engineering contained within.

Sometimes I like a watch that is just very simple no date etc just a clean no nonsense face, but at the same time it's nice to see complecations ,but they do overload the dials and make them to fussy On a technical level, there's a lot to be admired and praised, but from a practical point of view, the design execution can leave an awful lot to be desired, and often overshadows the simple point of a watch......telling the time (and date).

So if you like it you're a circle jerker and if you don't you've 'not taken leave of your senses'?On a technical level, there's a lot to be admired and praised, but from a practical point of view, the design execution can leave an awful lot to be desired, and often overshadows the simple point of a watch......telling the time (and date).

judging by how blunt you were it sounds like you have an issue with the man not the watch. Could it be the fact that he made a point about going to some posh do or other? Did sound a touch smug and maybe i am just imagining it, but i probably wouldn't say that to someone's face unless there was more at play. jbudgie said:
