Oooohhh, very nice - an SRP453. One of the 100 Years Celebration Limited Editions...a "Baby Tuna" or is that "Sardine"...
Is it a J or K?
Some say that there were 1000 made for the US market, so I'm guessing roughly the same number for the Far East, and for not a huge outlay you've got a fairly collectible and rare piece.
Have a pair now, LE Monster as well. I has planned on comparing them and seeing which I liked most but think I'll keep them both, they are quite different from each other. Is it a J or K?

A rare requirement to wear a suite and tie earlier today, so I dug out the Cartier Tank Francaise. Not fashionable, but a classic in my opinion.
Was it a 3-piece suite? How'd you manage the sofa, or was it the two armchairs that were more problematic?

Bought one of these for my other half a couple of weeks ago for her birthday

This is very strange! The Mrs and I were at a Jewellers Crimble function last night and she spied a pre-owned Cartier Francaise. Looked fantabulous on her wrist and was in absolutely mint condition. They were looking for £2250 for it. Original Box & Papers included. I got them down to £1850 without too much pushing. Didn't buy it as the champagne was kicking in and I've made similar alcohol-fuelled 'mistakes' in the past [/IMG]
Do the collective PH experts think that this might be a good deal at that kind of money?
ETA - it was a 1999 watch. Absolutely mint though.

I've seen the small ladies Tank for about £1,100 on TZUK, £1,850 from a dealer sounds ok, assuming you get warranty etc and it was in very decent condition.
