Ten quid, 110m waterproof, sub homage, I'm all over it.....
Just bear in mind that thin (1.2 mm) glass. It shattered with about 12 1/2 stone of pressure concentrated on it, so I wouldn't rely on it for bottom timing or using as a stepping stone I'll be fitting a 1.5mm replacement which'll be slightly proud of the bezel but should give a little extra security. There's also the question of quality control - my single random sample may have been a fluke, but it does show that the basic design is sound for reasonable immersion!

Don't worry the deepest this will see is the bath or swimming pool. There's also the question of quality control - my single random sample may have been a fluke, but it does show that the basic design is sound for reasonable immersion!

I was planning on subjecting it to a simulated mine explosion after making it leak, but I haven't the heart to now. So, it's going to be given a tidy up, a new glass (thicker than original), case ring, and an honoured place in my collection. For a tenner, I think it's earned it!
Reminds me of the Top Gear destruction test on the Toyota pick-up. Good job sir! Gassing Station | Watches | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
