Evening gents. Looking for some advice, I have birthday coming up (nothing significant) just normal birthday.

The misses has hit on the idea of getting me a watch as there is not much else I want.

Budget is around 200 so nothing special just reasonably smart. Does not need to be partiulatly hard wearing or anything as I work in IT so the Keyboard is unlikley to DMG it, I've a G Shock around somewhere if I ever felt the need to anything adventurous

What is DMG ?

Ok I know what you want it to mean, but no one uses that.

How about a David Mason watch. Look at their website, the watches look good.

Sorry played a lot of online games when I was younger (still dabble now) DMG is a very common abbreviation in those circle. Must have slipped into "yoof" speak for a second.

Thanks for everyone's advice and suggestions, I'll pass them along and see what arrives in May.

How about a Skagen, if you're after something smart in that budget?

I suspect I'll get ripped to shreds for suggesting them, but they always LOOK good to me.

I quite like the look of these and had been considering one or an SKX007, I want a back up watch for when my Explorer 1 is not suitable and someone at work has a nice Skagen, unfortunately it has started going rusty after just over a year.

The strap and case edge has suffered and as such I have been put off.

I like the brown 'Lader' one.

Add £43 to your budget and up the quality available massively. Id opt for this Swiss automatic Hamilton:

For something a bit more unique have a look at www.timefactors.com

Look at smiths Everest watch , precista prs 18, and smiths military watch - all just over 200 pounds . And have decent movements. Prs 18 quartz is less than 200...

I have a prs82 from them - very pleased with it
