Hi all,

Want some light repairs done on my Tag Heuer Carrera before I get married in September. Nothing too substantial just a new bezel and a clean/polish.

Have come across Watchdoctors.co.uk who have given a very reasonable quote for the work, and from what I can see seem to be a reputable organisation.

I'm just a little nervous about sending to a company I've found on the net.

I would send straight back to LVMH for repairs but I've had frustrating experiences with them previously which puts me off going that route again.

Has anyone used Watchdoctors.co.uk previously? Are they well known?

Otherwise any recommendations for specialists in Central London, if possible I'd much rather just drop off the watch in person.

Yep - They did a great job rebuilding my GMT after I threw myself under a racing car which ran over my back, head and bounced off my left wrist.

Before

After

Sadly the scrapes and scars on my boat race are still with me!

Wow - Hope you are all recovered now, that looks like it must have been a nasty accident.

If they can repair damage like that they'll have no problems mine!

A couple of years ago now - incident neatly summarised on another forum:-

>>>what happened to JP?

>>>A single seater ran over his head but he's ok just little battered and bruised.

>>>We need more info than that, was Stiglet sleeping on track again?

>>>Bump starting (between wheelie bits) Alan Neil's car I think that's his name and managed to trip over as car was bursting into life and it ran up his leg over his ar$e up his back over his heid and back to ground where I believe lucky for Alan it was still running. Sorry JP about the last bit but I know you can giggle about it now

I've not used them , but I do live in Tring.

I can confirm they have been around for a good while now, possibly longer than I can remember.

They have a stickered up smart for2 that's outside their place.

Some help maybe .

I've used them a couple of times to service my Omega. They are reputable and reliable in my experience. Not the full fat manufacturer approach but at about 25% of the price you shouldn't expect that.

Thanks all. Will package my watch up and send it off. :-)

Pricing is very reasonable and all the feedback I've found thus far is positive. Only small fixes required on mine so looking forward to having as good as possible for my upcoming wedding.

Just wanted to quickly follow up on this thread.

Have now received my watch back from Watch Doctors, and they have done a thoroughly excellent job!
Watch looks brand new again. Work was completed in exactly the schedule agreed and for what was the cheapest price I'd found.

I'd certainly use them again.

I've previously sent my Rolex Datejust for servicing (with also a major time keeping problem) and it came back fixed and as new, so another positive experience here.

I have popped into them in person to adjust strap on omega - really good service and they do exist - not just a web address!
