I need help as I can never decide ;-)

I want to increase my collection of watches with a new chrono. I have a Pelagos currently which I use daily. Cant decide on a Tudor Heritage Blue or a Planet Ocean. Always wanted PO. But having the Pelagos it may look a bit similar and also want something a bit more formal.

Thoughts?

The Tudor Heritage Blue looks exquisite to me, but I'd say the styling is more fun than formal.

How's about something a little different.... A zenith with the el primero movement is a fine chrono..smile

What's your budget?

I've got a 38mm Zenith El Primero Original 1969 (the new one) that I think works very well as a dress watch, being a bit smaller and with the gator strap.

It looks a bit like a mini Striking 10th.

It also has the 36k bph movement for chrono quality goodness!

I've had a soft spot for one of these for quite some time now, Stowa's 1938 Chrono.

One of the most versatile watches that I'm aware of with regards to strap options, light brown and the pale grey for me, thankyouverymuch smile

Tag Heuer 1969.

The first of the new Tag's with an in-house movement.

Why so many PO for sale on eBay. I can never work that out. They can't all be fakes ;-)

Anyways thanks all for your help. The Heritage Chrono Blue it is.

OP, might be slightly biased here, but have you thought of a Seamaster chrono ? In black or blue.

Whilst I hardly have huge experience of the (relatively) more expensive end of the watch market, I do find myself just staring at the complications 8 months after I was bought it. Lol.

Anyways, think a picture of your eventual choice is in order.

That'd be a great choice.

Finally bought the Tudor Heritage Blue. Wear it with the NATO strap. Gives it a fresh and sporty look. Really like it. But as with everything I have one eye on that and another on my next purchase. It's gonna be a Panerai. But will need to wait a bit..

Hi All,

I've got a Stowa 1938 Chrono arriving tomorrow... after an excruciating 3 month wait! It's the creme dial with grey strap. So, as you can imagine that gets my vote!

Thanks,

Roy

Polished or brushed case? And pictures when it arrives, please yes

I'd genuinely be interested in how tall it wears as well.

Edit - 3 months? The site currently says 1 month, was there a backlog or have you indulged in some personalisation?

Mine's got a polished case - I deliberated for a while, but in the end just preferred the 'dress' look that the polished version has. The waiting times do vary and with Stowa I always factor on adding a few more weeks on to what it says on the website. I ordered mine on June 17th.

I'm just waiting for FedEx to deliver it, so once it arrives I'll post pictures.

Well it's arrived! I've taken a few quick pics, however they really don't do it justice. The grey strap works incredibly well and the dial is beautiful.

Thanks,

Roy

Agreed, I think that looks great! Also looks pretty tall, which was a concern of mine.
