Hi all, I don't think I've seen this come up before,

I used to have a Luminox and as terrible as the build quality was, I loved the way the lighting system worked.

I'm looking for a replacement but don't want to buy another really poorly made watch, which brands out there sell quality pieces that have a Tritium lighting system?

Budget upto about 500 pounds, ideally I'd like one on a rubber strap and military / diver style.

Traser?

Nite?

2nd hand Ball (if you can find one in budget)?

Looked at these myself - like the Nite ones but of the reviews I've read I think the Traser stuff is supposed to be a bit more robust...

yeah, I really like the Luminox designs but can't go back after having had one and it being such a POS.
I was hoping some PH'ers has real world experience of owning one of these brands so see how they stood up to regular use.

My Traser Big Date Alarm has been faultless for the last 5 or 6 years. Its looking a bit beaten up on the crown but the sapphire face is immaculate. It never ceases to amaze me every time I accidentally whack it face first on a door handle how robust it is.

If it had dual time-zone it would be perfect.

Exactly the kind of input I was looking for, thanks!

Here's my heavily abused Traser Big Date Alarm, worn daily for 5+ years, its taken its beating remarkably well. There really is not a single mark, scratch or blemish on the face, and trust me its taken some big hits.

Ball are a little fancy for the life I have intended for it.
Following the advice so far I think I've narrowed it down to......

Both have Sapphire Glass and come with rubber strap options, I like that the Traser has the numbers imprinted on the bezel, however don't like that it is bi-directional (I'd be using it for diving at some point) and I am not sure that at 45mm it will look reasonable on my skinny wrist.
I also prefer the look of the Traser by the narrowest of margins.
The nite nato is 42mm so will probably fit my wrist better but I'm worried the numbers will rub off the bezel like they did on the Luminox.

...thoughts?

Deep Blue – I bought it from Atomic Time

Another European reseller:

You might also want to look at the German brand Bombfrog

Thanks for the input guys!
Ordered a Traser Red Combat on a rubber strap.

Shouldn't sit much bigger than my G-Shocks do on my wrist.
