Which is faulty, so God knows how much JLC will charge to fix, and you can bank on at least a 3 month delay before seeing it again.PJ S said:
Do yourself a favour, stop listening to the nonsense posted above!
There is nothing special or fantastic about a Speedmaster – it's only claim to fame is being related to the one that went to the moon. So what!?
What a load of rubbish. The moon Speedy (and a few of its MK predecessors)uses one of the finest and robust chrono movements ever put in a standard production watch. That is one really nice reason to own one...There is nothing special or fantastic about a Speedmaster – it's only claim to fame is being related to the one that went to the moon. So what!?

They're usually just under 4k pre-owned on tz-uk. I might pounce on the black-dialed one eventually...
I find the black dial Explorer II one of the hardest to read, very little contrast between the hands and the dial, yet the white ail is probably the easiest to read you'd tell the time looking across a room at it!Saw them both side by side yesterday & the difference between them is very noticeable.
I have to rethink this. I was totally ass and i did drive insane speed and police took my driver license away. I have to pay quite a big fee too, probably around 2k€. Damn. I'm going to get married next year, so this whole speeding ticket thing comes in a very bad time.
I have to wait how much that fee is and how expensive our weddings are before i can make a decision about how much i want to spend on a watch. I have to say tho, that omega one is a very interesting watch.

Firstly your budget of 4k is a serious chunk of money ! I'm not sure what type or make of watch you should buy but pre-owned will offer you serious value. The Vacheron I purchased last week is "as new" and cost me a third of the original price. Its a lot of watch within your budget. The best piece of advise I can give you, is don't rush into anything.
If you want the easy answer then a Rolex is well within your budget
