Hi Guys

Thought I might share this with you. I wanted to change my Seamaster give it a bit of a lift, I trawled round various sites and really liked the blue rubber strap look, but not the OE Omega prices £400 for strap and clasp. I found a few OE on the Evil Bay but still big dollar. and really its only for hols so I still swim with it being rubber. On the bay I came across this American guy selling an Omega style blue rubber strap for £23 inc postage. So I thought I will take a punt on one. Ordered it on the Monday got it within eight days. The clasp I got from a German co on the bay for £8. What do you guys think

Paul

I think it looks quite cheap I'm afraid! Not as cheap as it is but it definitely doesn't look OEM to me.

The stitching might be a bit of a giveaway when you look close but when you look at it in normal circumstances you would be hard pushed to tell.

I've got the Omega rubber strap and deployant that I sometimes put on my Seamaster and it's pretty different to that.

Mine looks like this one from google images:

Is there another blue rubber strap they do for it?

I know many people who feel that a leather or rubber strap cheapen a watch, they feel like they need a bracelet to justify the cost but whilst a bracelet is great one shouldnt under-estimate the benefis of rubber and leather. I find that a rubber strap really sportifys the watch and leather has a real warmth especially in the cooler months.

I love watches on all sorts but rubber and leather are favourite

Not jealous, but do you have the wrists of a pro weight lifter?

My SMP fills my wrist!

I like that... wish I'd seen it before plonking my Seamaster chrono on an original Omega mesh for 175 quid!!

It looks fine and as you say, it's for holidays.

As you say Yeti it's only for the holidays just some thing different . If it was a permanant fixture I would have gone down the OE route second hand on the bay, but for what it is fantastic value for money.

I think it looks better than the "Ribbed Knobbler" from google images (above)! It's not like you cannot put an OEM strap back on it.

Hilly10, that looks great.

Could you possible post the link / seller on here.... I am based in the US and feel one of these would suit some of my watches...

Thanks
Chris
