A bored day at work and the frivolous purchases thread resulted in this lovely Sinn U1

Great watch. Always wanted a U1 until I visited Jura to try one on; unfortunately it looked like I'd strapped-on a wall clock. Pity they don't do a 42mm version.

Enjoy. It's certainly different, and how many watches are made from 'U-Boot stahl'?

I've considered swapping my UX for a U1, haven't done so yet but wouldn't rule it out in the future. It's the "Lego brick" handset that does it for me!

Very nice. One of my favorite watchmakers. Been thinking about a U2 S to complement my 856 S UTC. lick

I'm surprised you thought it like a wall clock, I think it wears much smaller than it actually is. It has a great quality feel to it, nice and heavy. It feels indestructible.

I have really small hands which doesn't help. It was more the thickness of the watch and the straight-ish lugs which made it look big on my wrist. I have a Ball Hydrocarbon which is a similar size but with curved lugs which conform to the wrist making it also wear small.

I might try one on again to see if my perception has changed.

Is that "does it for me" in a positive or negative sense?

For me the blocky hands and indices are one of the best bits about it. Got mine a couple of months ago and love it.
