A bit controversial, but is anyone here into the rep scene?

I found a site recently and I have to say it is interesting.

Mods please delete this if I am breaking any rules.

No controversy at all. They're utter toss.

There are special forums for them, try there.

I thought the OP had misspelled 'rap', and had visions we were going to be treated to or discussing Hublot/Audemars Piguet in Rose Gold.
Can you imagine how disappointed I am at finding out he was referring to them, just not the genuine ones?
As there's no dislike button, I'll just have to go with…..-1.

It's easy:
* A replica is buying an Alpha and fitting a Rolex dial.
* An homage is buying a Rolex and fitting an Alpha dial. jester

I don't say I would buy a replica, I'm just saying the replica forums are interesting reading, surprising amount of knowledge there.

As for homages, well I would love a Speedmaster but there is zero chance I will ever be able to afford one, so I bought this quartz Fossil for about £60. So I guess I AM for homages.

That's a actaully a nice watch in its own right - it looks vaguely like a Speedmaster but I wouldn't even call that a homage, just something in the style of a classic.

And I'll repeat; the reps are a styt idea perpetuated by dreamers and liars, I'll bet the knowledge isn't half what you'll find 'real' watch forum, if you want to learn.

And they aren't talked about on here.
