As you say, they do have some nice watches. Steinhart and Christopher Ward offer watches that aren't homages.

Having owned a Steinhart that wasn't a homage, its quality was excellent. Not excellent value for money, which goes without saying, but excellent quality full stop. As has been said on another thread, Steinhart quality compares favourably to many Swiss mainstream watches costing upto £1000. In terms of build quality, Steinhart punches well above its weight.

Would you rather have a quartz TAG Heuer or a mechanical watch from Steinhart's marine or pilot ranges? I wouldn't choose the TAG.

Parnis isn't in the same league, because I imagine Parnis quality is considerably below Steinhart / Christopher Ward.
