Thinking my next piece will be a Zenith Pilot in 48mm and preferably GMT. Any decent wrist shots out there, guys?

Perhaps along the lines of these:

Sorry, no wrist shots but the GMT function is fantastic!

And I was told a bit of trivia about the watch the other day, apparently Zenith are the only company allowed to use the word "PILOT" on the dial!

Oh. That's awful nice!

What comments do you get, if any? It is a fair size, but the proportions are good. I think it would suit a decent leather jacket/jeans combo...

Are they any good on resale, or hard to move on?

I tried this on today, in Glasgow. It's absolutely lovely and perfect size.

I think these Zeniths are very good value for the cash!

It's certainly striking. A magnificent large crown for winding when wearing gloves in a biplane. hehe

I can't decide if it's really ugly or if I like it. It has an almost victorian gothic look about it. To be worn with well tailored clothes. Are you perhaps Sweeney Todd or a Vampire?

Its a cracking watch, but very easy to ding on anything its so big. Wears well I do quite like the look etc, to be honest its in the safe currently as gone back to a smaller watch for now, one that goes better in the office as it were. The Zenith is great for casual wear in winter with jumpers /casual wear etc. Its a shame they don't make a 44mm version as I could prob have that as an everyday watch.
ITs very well made , very well put together , feels nice.

Just had a look at their website and noticed 'le grand feu' is 60mm! That's a pocket watch not a wrist watch!

I'd prefer an IWC big pilots over the Zenith though. However, haven't seen in the metal so opinion might change

A quick note to say that the PVD GMT watch on the pilot strap pictured above was in Mappin and Webb at Heathrow T5 last week. No idea on duty free pricing but i can remember thinking that i liked the watch but hated the strap and moved on.
