Bit of a long shot here... does anyone in Herts or Bucks area close-ish to M25 J17 own a Seiko Tuna?

I'm keen to buy one but because I'll have to buy unseen from Asia I'm hesitant as I'm not sure how it will wear on my 6.75 inch wrist. Various forum posts asking similar questions say it will be fine etc but it's a bit of a gamble and if I buy and then have to sell straight away I'd expect to loose about £200 ish as they aren't cheap and I'll get hit for VAT etc.

So is there anyone nearby who owns one who could let me try it on for a few minutes. Basically we'd meet where ever is convenient for you, I try it on for a few mins, you tell me how wonderful it is and then for your trouble I'll give you a bottle of wine/drink/spirit/box of chocs etc of your choice as a thank you. This isn't a scam or some overly elaborate mugging plan I assure you! I doubt I'll be in luck but if you don't ask... thanks in advance.

I've got one in Hampshire you're welcome to try. I've got girly wrists and I find it wears ok.

Thanks for the quick reply and offer. I was hoping to find someone close so I could slip away unnoticed from my OH so she wouldn't know that plans are afoot for another watch to join the collection! I hope this doesn't come across as ungrateful but I'll see if anyone very close gets in touch and if not I'll see if I can find some time to get down to your area. Many thanks though.

As an aside, how do you find the watch wears and what size wrist do you have? Do you have any other common watches you could compare how it wears too? Cheers

I've got 6.75" wrists and it wears fine. It's quite tall but doesn't look it from where I'm sitting with it on. It does look massive if I catch sight of it in a mirror though but who cares. Being titanium and ceramic it's not heavy for such a big watch. My other watches are an original Quartz Monster and 6138-3002 both of which are relativly big so maybe maybe I'm used to the size as anything else feels too samll.

Is yours the larger Darth Tuna or just a black version of the 'smaller' 48mm version - like the 009/015/017?

Mine is a 7C46-7009 Gold Tuna from 1990 and is 50mm diameter and about 16mm thick. Read all about it here http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=302488

sorry for delay, only just seen your reply. Your tuna must look great, not quite the one I'm after. I doubt i could pull off the larger 50mm gold tunas sadly.
