A small piece of me has died but I totally understand, of course! Next time, next time...

I'm interested in getting a Submariner - would quite like the standard steel one with the date. Is there any real issue with buying one 15 odd years old to save £2k or would people always recommend saving for new?

Also what are peoples thoughts on buying on line without seeing the watch? I would probably use a reputable dealer like watchfinder or secondtime round.

Buy one from DominicH on here - Hackett Watches.

Thoroughly decent chap and a fair price.

Have bought from him many times and he is a good mate.

Worth speaking to him anyway, he managed to source me a watch that wasn't on his website.

Watches of distinction in Lymington normally have a decent 1460/ 5513 at that just under £4k level.
