Tag Heuer to start making smart watches.
Discussion
The article refers to fashion watch makers then dives into luxury Swiss makers - I don't think the two can be compared so quickly really as there is a subjective difference in both material quality and component performance between both sides.
I'd be interested to see what Tag come up with though, it won't be running Android Wear even though they state Google is one partner, I'd side more with the idea that they will customise a version of Android Wear in to their own liking using a custom dial skin - Think of the skins that are under fire by Swiss makers currently for copyright infringement and being removed from the app store. Tag will likely apply their own original dials and have those as out of the box dials.
In typical Tag style I bet it will cost a bomb too...

Just had one here that they'd quoted £1300 or so for a service and new mother-of-pearl dial "because it was cracked".
Only, there were no cracks in the dial, just 2 or 3 tweezer-point sized scratches around the 2 o'clock marker. Given that the watch had never been opened by anyone else and that scratches don't "just happen" in a sealed watch.....
To be fair, Ernest Jones (who the watch was supplied by and who had sent it for service) offered to replace it with a new one when the problem was pointed out. Did mean I lost out on the repair, but the owner got a good result
