They send over 800k movements per year for COSC certification but production is believed to be more like 600k watches.
So 800k minus service movements/duplicates/whatever plus non-COSC manual-wind stuff. Still not exactly exclusive.

But seriously do love that watch, it's on my want list. I have an Avenger Seawolf that's never seen salt waster smile

Aye it’s a beast of a watch in terms of wrist presence without having to do any shouting about itself like other divers tend to do in this kind of price area (Subs/SMPs etc). One of the main reasons I chose it, for the understated style but completely fitting style that works with all apparel smile

They made over 1M in 2011 or 2012, and said they would have to scale back – I highly doubt they almost halved their production.
Why? Because Seiko?

The COSC figures are available and almost all Rolex are COSC.

I'd didn't say they were exclusive. I said you were wrong.

Rolex don't market exclusivity, they market 'Rolex', just like Porsche simply market 'Porsche'. Hate away, the watches (and cars) speak for themselves smile

Because Seiko what? You're not making sense.

Happy to be corrected, but I was under the impression COSC don't reveal how many units they receive from each manufacturer – the figures are an approximation or best guesstimate.

Sorry, didn't realise we were having an argument.

Rolex market luxury goods at a premium. Whatever the production figure is "believed" to be it's a hell of a lot of watches, which is undoubtedly a big issue for a luxury item (especially one which is hell-bent on destroying its classic products with tacky redesigns).

One of the watch mags published the top 20 COSC brands for, I think, 2013 last year. Rolex were by far No.1, nearly double the next brand, and IIRC the figure was circa 850k, it was definitely over 800k.

I normally have an expensive taste when it comes to watches - previously owned a Breitling - but a friend works in Michael Kors so I thought I'd have a look around. With her staff discount I only paid £90 which I'm over the moon about. Cheap and cheerful.

I know it's not the general consensus but this is the perfect version of the Explorer (GMT) black or white dial and I don't agree at all about the proportions having been ruined!

Um... I don't dislike steering wheel and watch pictures as this is a car site but doesn't it kinda have to be your car?

I couldn't wear something that bright but that's not to say that it does't look great on someone else, bonkers in a good way!

Never said it was my car. I was driving it so thought I may as well take advantage.
