This arrived last week and will get occasional wear as a dress watch:

And an original Omega buckle that I sourced from eBay. This is probably a buckle from an old Seamaster model rather than a Geneve, but at 16mm width it's a reasonable match for the 34mm Geneve.

And with that, I am done. The collection is complete. I have no need to buy any more watches...

The three watches I wear most - 'everyday' Beitling Cosmonaute (thing of beauty IMHO - the face is a very dark graphite grey in natural light), 'rough wear' Poljot alarm watch . .

. . . and overhauled mid-1960s Bucherer for formal wear. I know strap is a bit marmite (patent mock croc!), but was silly cheap and I love the retro feel to it. Watch is a chronometer, yet thinner than a pound coin:

Very, very nice. Is the bracelet comfortable?

Thanks, it's quite heavy but not too top heavy and it's a little tight just now, so I think I'm going to have to track down the AP "comfort link", which I think is like a link and a half in a single link, if that makes sense?

It's certainly no shrinking violet of a watch and it set the metal detector off at the airport on Monday! The security guy asked to hold it as I went through again and all was well. He commented that he liked AP watches when he handed it back to me.

hehe I'm taking my new Overseas overseas this afternoon, I don't know why but I always get a bit twitchy when I'm wearing a new watch going through the airport!

Yeah, it's even worse when they ask you to take it off before you go through the scanner. I always try to make sure I put it in my bag and to get to my tray before anyone else does.

I've heard of scams like that where laptops etc are targeted.

Very nice, I do like the blue dial Yacht-Master.

I keep debating that perhaps I should have gone down that route instead of going for the blue/ black GMT.
