Still a bit off wearing it.
But not off for Boathouse to have sold it?
Potentially, but times could have been hard or he may have wanted to free up funds for another venture / thing. I'd still not wear it.

I see people / civvies wearing Citizen Royal Marines / Red Arrows etc watches and wonder why they bought a mil badged watch to wear rather than a normal one without the the OTT details. Maybe they feel better about themselves for wearing it?? But that can only be so until they meet a genuine RM or Arrow and then the sleeves get pulled down to hide the evidence. I used to see young lads doing it in Exeter, pretending to be RM recruits to impress the chicks by getting their hair cut short and getting RM tatoos. Short lived as the young women of Exeter know as much about Lympstone as the lads in training. I can understand owning a Mil Sub, or other limited run Mil watch and keeping it in a box for investment or interest sake, but wearing it like you are one of the team is a bit gay. Like the people who wear Porsche or Ferrari merchandise to networking events when they are sporting nothing more than a Mondeo in unlit area of the car park. Gets on the tits of Ferrari and Porsche owners does it not?

Just my opinion, as I earned the right to wear my badge.

Hope all is well with you mate smile
You could see it that way, but you could see it as them wanting to celebrate and show support for the RMs or the Red Arrows.

Since these organisations (and Ferrari/Porsche) licence their logos for far more than members/owners, clearly they feel no slur.

Generally, I'm not keen on products associated with another brand or organisation, but I think it's a bit harsh to label people who do as 'gay' (by which I presume you don't mean homosexual, as I'm sure most of that community wouldn't be seen dead in anything with a RM or Red Arrows logo on biggrin)

M.

PS I did have a Blue Angels Citizen Skyhawk for a while. I quite liked the connection in this case as it brought back fond memories of seeing them at an airshow when I were a lad, but I don't think anyone would believe I was trying to pass myself off as a member of the team!

Ha if you're looking for the opposite of girly then let me direct you to one of these! Also towards a certain Mr Dom Hackett. Not sure, but he may even be able to do something by way of a P/X.

Got this last Wednesday it's a bit no compromise but I have big hands. (like shovels) I have spent a lot of time looking at it. The catch is a work of art.
Edit to add pic.

He makes a good point - everyone goes for the Sub or similar.

To be fair mine and Big Dog's are the same watch! I like the diving range but yes they do have a... Design lineage. The deep sea is the pinnacle of that though. I'm not so keen on the wider Rolex range but the Daytona is the exception.

Something nice to look at while studying for a Prince 2 Project management course. That was a trip to hell!

The watch...Zenith El Primero Chronomaster in 18 Rose Gold. A classic from Zenith.
I've always liked that. I was thinking of getting a steel one at one point but other things came up. Zenith are definitely one of my favourite brands.

Nice. So is it yours, or is this another advert for your watch dealing business? Everything else seems to be.

hehe ...but not when compared to the dive watches.
I love my Daytona and I wanted one for years, but this had me considering trading it in...

That is blooming lovely

Which model is that or do you have a link?

I'm saving for a Rolex LV but have been tempted by a Tudor Pelagos along the way and now this!

I stopped by Tourneau to have a look at the Pelagos. I really wanted to love it as I'm a big fan of titanium watches, and some of the detailing was thoughtful (the little shield emblems hidden everywhere in the design of the clasp etc) but overall I couldnt reconcile the overtly "tool like" finish with the price point. Matte everything is cool...i just didnt fall for it.

I think you're being overly harsh here Eddie.

I wouldn't wear anything badged RM, but I'd happily wear a Red Arrows Skyhawk - because I'm nerdy & enthusiastic about aviation stuff, not because I hope that by wearing it to the pub, the barmaid will catch it poking past my shirt and think I'm an RA pilot.

I do own a watch with the insignia and related details of the Italian Frecce Tricolore, and again, it's not because I want folk to think I pilot for them.
