On another thread it was said that it is to do with the way Apple handles the data.

I am not on an Apple device so can't check, but effectively it could look correct when saved but have the wrong orientation when uploaded here.
I'm a Windows user and it flips when I upload. And most of my photos are taken on an Android phone (none on an iPhone).
I'll shut up then.

Glowing Breitling

I have a Super Ocean 42 as well in my collection, they look equally good on leather bands as they do on the steel strap.

Here you go...if you want to edit your post with this link, go ahead, and I'll delete this post afterwards – so long as no-one quotes it, otherwise it'll look weird.

Will it?

My new (and only) discreet dress watch. I believe it's hand wound 1970's jumbo Zenith (37mm) Stainless Steel case, gilt hands + dial markers, blue dial with gold flecks through it that just sparkle in the sun. Wearing it on a vintage one piece perlon strap. I've not had the back off yet to check the movement.

This is lovely! Do you have any more info on this watch? I've done a google search but can't seem to find anything that resembles this exact watch.

Not had a chance to do anything more in depth yet. I know it's powered by a Cal 126 (http://vintagezenith.blogspot.co.uk/2009/01/cal-126-6.html) which appears to be made from 1950-1955. The closest similar one that I've found is this piece:

http://www.lorologiese.com/us/zenith-classic-1951-...

Given that the serial number on this one is within 60,000 of mine I would say that they were produced in a similar decade at least. Also the given size of 36.5mm would appear to be the diameter of mine (minus crown perhaps).

That is a lovely looking thing. I am trying to decide if I am brave enough to send a money transfer to a nice Italian watch shop for a 1998 example in mint condition.

A question to the experts on this thread.. Assuming I don't receive a box with a brick in it - would £3200 be considered a sensible deal?

I just did the same by transferring cash to an unknown chap in Poland for a BLNR, thankfully it arrived safely, was legit and wasn't a brick, after a week of UPS tracking it across Europe.

£3,200 is a good price assuming box and papers are included.

Victor , thank you ,

3200.00 is good money for that , just looking at relevant model's for that year.

Mines was a fair bit more . But old or new they're lovely pieces.

Judging from the sunlight in that image, you're 12 hours behind or ahead – date changes are meant to occur around midnight, not midday.

You're right, PJ S.

Nice watch nonetheless. But it's not too hard to choose which side of midday/midnight it is wink

Good spot, had literally just got it and was walking up to my watch man to sort the strap out when I took that photo.

It makes me very happy to finally be able to post something of note in one of these threads...

After MUCH deliberation, I decided to make my first 'proper' watch an iconic one, and i couldn't be happier!
