Holy crap do you even know what to do what to do with half that stuff or is just for show
Lol, the instruction book just for the slide rule feature is the thickness of a Bible, so no, as far as I'm concerned it's all just aesthetic

Always liked "pilot" style chrono watches though

My Steinhart Ocean - Can't Afford A Rolex - One with green bezel was delivered today (three days from order, direct from Germany!). It's actually a really nice watch, seems really good quality and well made for the money. It'll replace my Seiko for most day to day wearing until I can afford a Breitling Avenger, and then a Rolex Daytona - one day!! Was very easy to adjust the bracelet myself (screws) and it feels very comfortable on the wrist. Better than my Seiko Monster anyway.

I wasn't originally a big Submariner fan, but they've really grown on me over the past few years, and the Steinhart fills a gap whilst I'm working towards the dream watches.

Well done, Eddie. How long did it take you on those snow shoes?

As far as I'm aware, Rolex's patent on the sub (and a few other models) has expired so it can be easily and legally be copied. May be wrong though, just something I read on the internet when researching the Steinhart!

I'm under the impression that Steinhart are trying to make a name for themselves, rather than just making copies, but at the end of the day the ocean one is blatantly a sub rip off. At least though it is well made and good quality.

Thing is, it'll never be a Rolex, and anyone who wants and can afford a Rolex will buy one. Like I will, eventually. It's just a good quality, low cost gap filler until my ship comes in.

fair do's. Steinhart do have a lot of very heavily 'inspired' products in their range!! Not just Rolex.

Bloody ages I'd bet, what with the snow shoes and his eyes closed.

6hrs 19mins 06secs. Just waiting for Guinness to confirm my world record status. Great day out but hard work and painful toward the end.

clap

I'm presuming that you were raising money for a cancer charity? I'll chuck a few £ towards it if you put the details up.

You can find me if you google Edward Cain Just Giving. I'm not allowed to link here unfortunately.

Was raising money for Beating Bowel Cancer. Got over £4k on the books.

Thanks mate, and thank you for the donation. Ref the Tag. The raffle was drawn on weds and the Tag was chosen over the jewellery.

Just made a donation to my wife's triathlon fundraising (friend of ours diagnosed with very late stage cancer) so I popped across to Eddie's page and donated a few quid there too.

Hope that you get that Guinness World Record too!

Not quite the collection of some but pretty chuffed with it, especially the emergency which I think is a cool watch. Cleaning night last night so thought I'd post.

I think I could live with that BREITLING as my one and only watch.
The only thing that is frustrating me the bracelet. Dead easy to scratch which is annoying. I have a tissot touch on the titanium too and that has the same problem.
