The Breil Manta at the bottom is my latest acquisition.

The Speedmaster's there as I took the strap off it to put on the Breil and bought a Black & White Di-Model Rallye for the Speedy instead (I think it looks better and the orange is great on the Manta!)

Apologies for the repetition for anyone else who's seen this already on TZ-UK.

Me too smile

I've been hankering after a Sinn 144 for ages, but this was MUCH, MUCH cheaper and has a lovely patina without being tatty!

Much as I would like to lay claim to hard-man status, the wounds were in fact inflicted by my cat Bertie, when I tried to stop him humping my pillow.

Never interrupt a cat mid-wk.

Stop posting pictures of this watch! It's bonus month next month and my wife isn't going to be very impressed if I end up spunking most of it on a watch because you've presented me with unavoidable temptation.

I have to say it does look rather good! I'm not in a position to buy anything unless I sell something, unfortunately, so it'll just have to go on the wish list!

My recently acquired Smiths Everest from 1953 which wears much bigger than its small proportions may suggest.
The mechanical ticking is very therapeutic and it's amazing to think this watch was made only 8 years after the second world war ended, a really beautiful piece in amazing condition, a credit to its one and only previous owner.
Inspired me to break out my late 1950s (although could be 60s, i'm not too sure) Longines:

Unfortunately our office lighting is not conducive to watch photography. I've reported this to our facilities management team in the hope of a full refit. I enjoy listening to it tick though; it runs at a relaxed 14,400vph or something like that.
