Your images are only viewable to you and anyone else registered to that forum.
You'll need to take your own photos and host them somewhere, then paste that link in, so we can all see them.

I presume you were referring to mine. They should be visible now.

Posted this on the watch and shoes thread but I thought I would post in here smile It is a Russian Pobeda, I bought it for £18 off eBay from a nice man in Bulgaria... Sounds legit I know haha!! It keeps time well when wound up and had (in my opinion) more character than a cheap quartz watch.

Cheers

Tom

I can't decide whether I should keep the IWC, or sell it and use some of the money to buy a Pelagos instead. A new one with an in-house movement should still be less than the doppelchrono is worth, and I don't wear this watch that often because it's more fragile (and a lot more valuable) than any of my other watches.

I already have a couple of divers watches though, a DLC Steinhart that's amazingly reliable if a little scuffed now, and a MkII LRRP, which I wear most of the time (oh and a quartz Colt). Also, I've gotten used to wearing everything on NATO straps now, but there's not much point putting a Pelagos on a NATO what with its fancy titanium bracelet.

Anyone have any advice?

Bonkers-fast (0-60 in 3.7ish, 70-90 in the blink of an eye), and quite relaxing as a cruiser. Not a fan of the variable ratio steering.

Not sure I'd chop the doppel in. Despite it perhaps not being as robust as you might want for daily wear, it is collectable and would be a keeper if it was in my collection. Have you thought about keeping the doppel as a dressy/occasional watch? Get a good croc strap for it and you could dress it up for formal or suit wear.

I love both my IWC Spitfire (I swap between black croc and brown leather straps) and my Pelagos. As you point out, the bracelet is a work of art.

It's a bit bling. What are you thinking of trading it in against?

I do have a crocodile deployant for it, the only problem with using it as a dressy watch is the sheer height of it; it's so thick because of the added chrono function that it's too big to wear with most shirt cuffs.

Yes. The base is a 7750 movement and that does mean a taller case. Can't help on that I guess...
