Wrist Check 2015
Discussion
Currently visiting Japan and I picked up this little number today (great deals to be had here). Originally I wanted a white dial Milgauss, but decided after many months that I can live with the cyclops. So here is it, it's been on my wrist all day since walking out of the shop (and watching the sumo live!). Rolex Explorer II:-

Thanks! Yes, a LOT cheaper. Yen is weak is seems and this model isn't so popular here (maybe due to its 42mm case). But it was just under 2k GBP cheaper than the UK list price. It was also about over 1k GBP cheaper than in Hong Kong (after discount!) and also Singapore (where I live).Cheaper in Japan?

I always wanted to go to a Sumo basho.
Nice watch BTW!
Me too. Bucket list thing for me. It was awesome to watch and experience. Nice watch BTW!
I've long had a sneaking admiration for Sekonda's no-nonsense watches. I've a couple of oldish quartz watches from them that just keep on working, regardless.
I've also, more than once considered buying one of their 'Chavitimers', but owning a genuine Cosmonaute, I could never quite bring myself to buy a black dialed one.
Then, on Sunday I walked past my local branch of Hines. I'd spotted a colleague wearing an interesting reverse LCD Pulsar, so I was drawn to the window by the Pulsars, but then I spotted a Sekonda 'Chavitimer' I'd never seen before.
The pale blue metallic dial is very similar in tone to that of my Sinn Arktis and the finish on the silver sub-dials looked really good (neither of which the image below really capture well). Even better, it was on offer at £50.
I went home, but yesterday I had cause to be back in town and decided to go and have a look... Well, one thing led to another and, yes, I'm wearing my new Chavitimer today!
I think it looks great, but it's very lightweight and the bezel is fixed (the chrono only works on the left and bottom sub-dials too), but for £50, I'm pretty happy with it!
