I think there is yes. Most people in the watch forum are very knowledgeable and enjoy collecting/repairing/customizing watches and spend large amounts on the real deals. I come on here to enjoy looking at them and learning about them. Why would I want to look at a box of £30 replicas ?

So because you don't enjoy looking at the picture that justifies being unpleasant? Interesting idea, I can't say I agree with you. Why not just ignore it?

You'd get the same reaction on any other watch forum, homages yes, fakes no.

To be fair I was rude about the guys tablecloth, sorry about that. I've learnt my lesson and next time I'll just stick to pointing out the obvious fake watches. Now I've apologised can people refrain from posting pictures of cholex's and breitlongs please? thumbup

Does anyone have any experience of Christopher Ward?
I am not a watch expert, or even a fan, there's just one that I really like.
Any advice appreciated (it's c£500)

Thanks, Stuart.

Thanks! I love how they match the engraving of the case to the movement.

Found this beauty today. Plastic bezel has a nice action and the rubber strap is nice and supple. A keeper for sure.

Watch of the thread!

Very nice.
Didn't realise that panerai made a sunburst dial.
How are you find the polished case? My old pam90 was sold due to the amount of small scratches it would pick up. The metal always appeared to be much softer than that of a Rolex for example.

I have no problems with it, all polished cases get a few squirrels but if they really bother you its no hassle to get them wiped off once a year.

Its a Grey Anthracite dial and Panerai made just 99

That's lovely, is it a new release of the old model or a vintage one polished up?

Thanks!

It's a new model 'homage' - Hamilton Intramatic.

Decent movement by all accounts (ETA 2892-2). So far very happy with it.
