So the GPS signal get through the aircraft's fuselage?

Doesn't the GPS antenna require outdoor line of sight to the sats?
GPS definitely gets through, I used to use Google Tracks for amusement. Mostly worked in the window seats, but the initial acquisition could take ages, probably because the phone isnt meant to be going quite that fast smile For the H&S boys, the GPS works on Flight Mode.

Apple event on September 12th. https://9to5mac.com/2018/08/30/apple-iphone-event-...

If this isn't a hint for a round screen Apple Watch coming then I don't know what is.

Could be a macro shot of a 3.5mm jack....

Does it not just reference their new campus?

This could be a big one. Watches, iPads, Phones of course, MacBook Air replacement, possible Mac Mini.

there have been reasonable confidence leaks happening for months. This is a marked departure for Apple as the information was guarded with ridiculous success historically with new product releases and you generally wouldn't see anything till launch day. The last couple of phone releases have mysteriously been leaking to the major fansites etc way in advance, and haven't been inaccurate either. I reckon Apple are the instigators and it is a conscious viral marketing ploy. A bit like how all the car manufacturers just put stupid patterned wraps on cars on mules of new models and drive round cities to generate lots of 'sneak preview amazing scoops' in the press.

I find it astonishing that there aren't more leaks.

Consider how difficult it must be to prevent the escape of details of new products that are already in mass scale production with associated marketing media.

There is no question of surprise here. Everyone knows what the product is, who has designed it, who is building it, who is shipping it and where and when it will be sold.

And yet, so little gets out. Remarkable.

I’ve got an Apple Watch 1st gen. I’d quite like a larger one, which this one looks to be. I know the display is larger but the case looks larger too.

Maybe it’s the same case though?

I suppose we’ll find out on the 12th.

I’d still not buy that watch. The only I watch I would buy is a round one, and I don’t think I am alone.

I would buy it and will probably buy the new one shortly (and have done so already twice so far) because it’s square and I don’t think I’m alone wink

Probably shouldn't mention this, it being a leak and all......

ROUND and ignore the radioactive notice as the final model runs on voodoo.

Voodoo power.

Need a few more apples to get up to 180 volts. Alternative is a more citrus fruit, but that means renaming it the Apple Lemon.

Apart from the marginally bigger screen, does the 4 offer anything worth having?
Wait & see I guess
I’ll hang on to my 3 until a large round screen & facetime is offered. That will be science fiction to an early 60s child like me!
