Picked this up for the missess couple weeks ago, sunburst dial is amazing, lots of comments...

Nice....I was completely torn on whether to get the sunburst dial or not....In the end I did...I don't have it to hand as its hidden away from the wife, but this was the alternative. Got this exact watch with sunburst dial...

Great! I think the sunburst looks a lot more modern than the champagne dial. My misses is only 28 and I feel the all steel, silver dial looks very "clean" and un fussy. Anyhow, great choice I'm sure she'll love it!

Just catching up with this ....Ladies Datejust Bimetal 26mm fluted bezel, diamond dial -- Retail £7100..Purchase price £6400. Result. Rolex AD.

Im picking up soon, but still undecided on the champagne face or sunburst? They assure me sunburst is new and trying to push that on me but I just can't make my mind up. Any thoughts on sunburst? (has stripes whole way round)

Bought a Datejust II (116333) from watches of Switzerland in London on Monday evening. RRP was £7750 and they gave me a 5% discount. so paid £7362 in the end. Was happy with that, as other AD's had all told me no discount at all available!

Just seen that Iconic watches website however.. What's the deal with that? Not sure I'd want to order a watch over the internet like that? Quite a bit cheaper on there however....
As mentioned above, I'd be taking that back for a refund and buying from Iconic...

Whilst I haven't bought from them (yet) I gave them a call the other day, and was impressed with the operation, very transparent, happy to tell me where they were buying watches, even how much they paid for the model they had in stock that I was interested in etc etc. Its about £1100 cheaper there afterall isn't it?
Iconic are about £900 cheaper for my watch I think... Bit annoying, I don't mind too much though. It was more about the experience in the shop for my first purchase... I had no idea which model I wanted! Not sure I'd have been comfortable buying blind online. It was a spur of the moment purchase also. Will definitely check Iconic out next time though!

bought a tudor pelagos from iconic last year. great service and would recommend. i went to pick mine up in person (and pay the balance) from their shop. my pelagos is from an AD over in italy which is where i suspect a lot of their stock comes from. Unless it says "in our shop" on the website they will order it in for you from a foreign AD, and once they have it will post it out once the balance is paid. IIRC the deposit was £500.

Cheap flight to Norway, AD there will give an easy 15% off that + a further tax free discount of 20% off remaining price (VAT is 25%). Huge Rolex volume here in summer with endless cruise ships. Japanese guy tried to buy all of the seven SD4000's that the dealer got in the first batch when they were released! Dealer refused, and shared the lurve.
