Have my Suunto Core black nearly 5 years now and highly rate it. If anything was to happen to it I would go straight out and buy another one.

Thanks everyone. Suunto Core Ultimate Black on its way from Germany. £170.00, instead of £250.00 in the UK.

The Core with the negative display (dark green/grey on black) reads great in sunshine and at night with the stealthy back light but is harder to read at dawn or dusk , Suunto make a positive display version (black on white) which I think reads better at those times . I got the all black Core last week , love it .

The Suunto has survived everything I have thrown at it , so far (swimming pool, beach, etc.) biggrin

I calibrated the sea level stting at the beach, but the readings are quite erratic at the pool. It seems to say I am -300m and i'm pretty sure I am not.

I think there may be a software/hardware issue with the watch as the Compass doesn't work correctly anymore. It struggles to find South!
