The only reason AP bezel screwheads look so nicely lined is because they are effectively fake heads, so they can all line up nicely.
They're not fake, they hold the case together. They line up as they are hex heads in hex recesses on the front. The screw heads on the back don't line up as that is where they are tightened.
If they are retained by the case, why are they slotted?
Exactly thats why I used the word fake, they are slotted to make them appear as if they are screw heads & mr clever attention to detail watch maker has taken the time & effort to line them all up perfectly...just an illusion ( in the words of the song! )

Well you better not buy a watch then if lining up of screwheads is so important. I have a Audemars & a lange pic which shows the same thing. Really I don't think you can expect them to be able to line up screwheads so they are all correct, its more important they are all of the correct tightness!!
You most certainly can line up screwheads, granted its not commonly done outside haute horologie. I have several tools specifically designed to under cut the back of screwheads to adjust the slot position when they are at the correct tightness. It is a very delicate operation as removing 1/1000 of a millimeter of metal can change the alignment significantly. It takes me around an hour per screw to register all the slots on a watch... Doubtless a professional would be faster but its still not easy.
