Hopefully when the next watches come out, they'll still be comparable with the current steel loops/bracelets

Am going to go to the Apple Store tomorrow to try one on and see how I get on with it.

Fancy one, but also concerned it may become unused... Lots of positive feedback on this thread, most seem very pleased with it which is positive!

Will keep in cheap with the 42mm Sport if I get one so if it ends up on ebay it won't be too much of a loss!

Ok so I now have a space grey Sport 42mm on my wrist...

Now what do I do?!

Any tips or must have apps?

One question, when scrolling through the options of health, calendar, stocks menu, and then choosing one - eg Calendar, how do I go back to the options menu again? Other than clicking the scroll wheel which takes me back to the clock face and then swiping up to start again?

Pressing the crown then swiping up is how it's done I believe.

Other than the novelty of pressing the buttons and playing around a bit there's not much to do with it. It's just how it integrates into normal life that makes it for me. Notifications are the best thing by far imho.

I don't think there are any essential apps but I'm willing to find out if there are some.

Or just cover the screen with your hand which resets back to the clock screen without pressing the crown.

Does anyone know when they might release the next version? Was going to buy one but didn't want to and then them release a new one!

It will be at some point next year. Maybe around the spring as that will be the 12 month mark

Still loving my 42mm stainless, now have 3 straps - so easy to change. Massively missing GPS though - still having to run with my phone sucks. Strava also need to sort their act out, no native watch app?!?

Looking forward to AW2 also smile

You only have to run with your phone for the first few runs, after that the watch is calibrated to your stride, you just wont get a map of your route.

I bought one today... I'm not totally convinced.

If mail is open on my Macbook, it doesn't receive notifications - at least I don't think it does. Same with texts. I've downloaded the MyMail app which pushes Gmail....

If it's not receiving notifications easily then it's sort of defeating the purpose a bit.

More testing required.

Took me about 3-4 weeks to accept that it is actually pretty good but still feel like it's 1 or 2 years too early - the functionality just inside joined up well enough - certainly for the sports apps.

I'm going to take it back for a refund....

It's a clever thing but I can't see it replacing a more traditional watch. At least I tried it. smile

Agreed. You'd look like a muppet with a stupid 'smart' watch. Give me a classy mechanical watch anyday.

It's back with Apple. Took all of about a minute in store - very efficient and impressive refund system.
