cheers for posting and having a look on your website and recommendations on here I will be giving you a call in the future

A quick question. I have a Sinn UX liquid filled watch which I was under the impression again it needs to be sent back to Sinn the Germany to be resealed and filled.
You're welcome. My attitude is that watchmaking / repair isn't some Dark Art to only be talked about in hushed voices in candlelit chambers despite what many of the bigger workshops would like to pretend.

It needs a certain aptitude and an appropriate skill set but that's true of any job. To me, being honest about that rather than trying to shroud it all in mystery and bullst is not only the honest thing but benefits everyone in the long term.

As for the Sinn, I'm afraid that's one of the very few that really is a back to the maker job. When Beuchat first brought out the Abyssal oil-filled I did experiment with oil filling but it's nowhere near as straightforward as you might think, especially if the only "facilities" you have for it are a large tub of oil and a pair of Marigolds biggrin
Ok well at least I know where I got my ( I thought they needed to go to a authorized dealer " from

Ahh well I've leave it a little while and send it back to them.

cheers for the advice and feedback

+1 for Variomatic! Now repaired a TAG and two Breitlings for me. No affiliation, I've just received honest appraisals and excellent service!
This.

You need a qualified and experienced watchmaker. You don't need to hand it over to a watch sales assistant who will forward it to an over-priced repairer with long waiting times, questionable quality (Duval) and a fat mark-up.
