How about a matching pair! Didnt even dare ask for the price.

They also had about 3 double reds and the same number of single reds.

I know there is a matching pair of comex watches somewhere which went to auction about four years go with a lot of history and dive logs, these looked in very good condition but did wonder if these could be the same pair.

DRSD is nicer than the Comex, imho. I never understood the fascination with the Comex outside of the industry, and they were pretty poor watches. They could be had from Divers in the late 80's for a few hundred quid around Aberdeen harbour, and others. Know a few who've had them and got rid. All of course wish they'd kept them, but purely on a financial basis only, due to the hype. The COMEX logo is pretty ugly.

Yes, seems a pretty niche interest to me too, but I guess it's no different to many 'issued' military watches.

I don't think the Comex logo adds anything to the watch, personally, but clearly enough people do to sustain crazy prices!

Completely agree if they were the same price i would get the non comex version. Therefore i have no interest to buy a comex one, but it was interesting to see these together in what is essentially a marks and spencers type shop.

There must be a market for counterfeit Comex dials. Either completely fake dials or real dials with fake Comex printing

There is. They appear on ebay from time to time.

That's unsurprising. I think I'd prefer a Comex (over a normal one), but I've always liked stuff like that. The difference isn't (to me) worth the price difference laugh
