Remember the good ole days when this section of PH wasn't like General Gassing? I miss it. I may have to start posting in Tents, Caravans & Motorhomes

Is there much of a wait for these at the moment? I would love to see one in the metal and try it on for size.

Today was vintage Bond day.

Still think that's one of the best modern interpretations of a vintage watch out there.

The prices of the originals have gone completely mad, wish I'd got a nice MN Snowflake when they were a lot cheaper.... @ Andy_tims - still got yours...?

How the hell would it look like another same-again Rolex if it merely had Rolex written on the dial (and some other bits like crown and st but that's cosmetics). There's no logic in it, innit?
'Do you want to have the full argument, or were you thinking of taking the course?'
The voice of common sense. I'll walk away from this one and find something interesting or useful to do.

Come one, you made a statement so I'd expect you can defend it.

Since this is PH, let me overlay your statement on cars situation:

Me: this new Renault Megane, fantastic car. If it had Mercedes badges and nice alloy wheels instead of steelies I'd buy 5 and keep 4 as future appreciating classics.
battered: No no, that would make it another same-looking look-at-me Mercedes.
Me: but battered, that makes no sense. Badges make no difference to the look of the car, it would still be a nice looking car. Only a bit more desirable.
battered: you offended me with your logic, me and my mateys we're never wrong.

Artey "I'm looking for an argument, come and have a go if you think you're hard enough"
Battered "I'm not interested, go elsewhere and look for a fight, come back and have a more reasonable discussion when you've finished scrapping in the car park."

I think supply is coming through a bit better now that the initial rush of orders has pretty much been fulfilled, I still wouldn't expect to see them appearing as "stock" till mid next year at the earliest, but you'd probably see one in 2-3 months if ordered now.

Not sure wristshots of your watches would be all that interesting or useful over there – unless you need help with pitching a tent, in which case such assisting material might not be permitted in that section.
I think you’re better off here, and just ignore the minor irritants.

I do have a tent for Le Mans but on reflection you're probably right.

My 4 year old daily basher Seiko SKX007 on a divers mesh bracelet. The glass is covered in scratches but I adore this watch. Massively reliable and keeps great time.

Couldn't resist this while strolling through Westfield at the weekend.

Very pleased with it.

Could swear I replied to this already! But yeah I'm pleased I ordered when I did, otherwise I'd have ended up with the newer one and regretted it! Today is rubber one piece day.

I've been wearing this cheapo Casio since I bought it a few weeks ago, I love the 'strap it on and go' as opposed to having to wind and set my mechanicals!!

That is lovely. What model is that and is it still a current watch?
