I really like this....Particularly with the yellow strap.

A lot of watch for £475.....Having looked further it's possibly a bit too chunky for my taste but it is very tempting.

Yes, it's a biggish bugger. On the bracelet it is just on the cusp of heading down vertically either side of my wrist. It's 50mm plus top to bottom.

Wears bigger than some of the 48mm Unitas hand winds I have.

Really liking it all the same.

I think AP make some of the worst looking watches available.I just don't get the design language ( I heard that phrase the other day in a bmw 5 series ad. so had to use it) at all....
Well what about a more traditional design language, took the 5205R out the safe just now, not been used for a little while as the current readings show! But a real beauty to my eyes.

To my eyes only a beauty by comparison to a lot of other PP watches. In isolation it's at best meh.

Love a Cellini and that's a really different one. Nice watch.

Oh my, that is beautiful!

More details please? I've never heard of them, and a web search of "Arly watch" turned up nothing useful.

Thanks for the kind words. I bought mine on eBay about 9 years ago and I had to get a new strap and have it serviced. I think it's a 70s or early 80s model. The finish is quite odd in that it develops a patina very quickly if you don't give it a polish now and then. It's not solid brass, so I don't keep it polished any more. I prefer the unpolished look, but even then it's a bit blingy for me, so I hardly ever wear it.

Arly have a website, but it doesn't look like it's been updated for a while.

I like this one:

Many thanks, it's a 1969 model like myself, the watch is wearing better though.

This is a watch I don't wear often. Longines Maxi Evidenza.

In fact I took it to trade against an alternative a week ago but the offer was so derisory I decided to keep it.

It's a lovely thing.

Apologies for it being upside down :-)

That does look nice, but the photo is quite blurry on top of the whole upside down thing.

Going to be using my 5205R as a daily wearer now, not to everyone's tastes but I absolutely love it. Going to sell the Royal Oak Offshore (not because of any comments!!) and buy something new later on.

This is a little better.

My photo is taken with an iPad. What are others using to get such quality?

My picture from the last page was taken with my phone (Samsung Galaxy S6) and i'd guess a lot of other photos on here are taken by phone as well. Modern(ish) phones can take terrific pictures. It looks like maybe yours isn't focusing properly confused

Hopefully being used to sports watches will keep it safe, but we'll see! It's a shame to not use it daily as you miss out on the annual calendar complication.
