Haha, looks nice out there anyway.

Watch looks good too - I like the knurling on the Chrono stoppers.
Thank you, and yes, knurling on big buttons is good for oily or gloved fingers.

'In its natural element' would be a good thread; Requirements for photo's would be along the lines of a divers watches in something other than the hotel pool, Breitling in a plane (not sitting in the back with a G&T), Speedmaster in outer space, Patek Philippe at an international Prime Ministers convention, gold Rolex at a second hand car dealers (not forgetting the obligatory sheep skin coat), G-shock in Afghanistan etc...

If I manage to take a photo where I don't focus on the engines, but actually get the watch sharp then I'll start it.

Nice idea, definitely get it started. Though my nautical themed watches will have to wait a little while to be added, being based on the UK S.Coast not sure I fancy going out on the water just yet!

And a little update for the thread, probably my least used watch but a lovely model - I love the white gold bezel which adds a lot of character to the watch and the deep blue metallic dial is really cool.

My daily. Ten years old now, serviced once and still as good as the day I bought it.

Had to put my 10(ish) year old TAG back into daily use to check it wasn't losing time too drastically smile

Sealtt, your blue Rolex is lovely. Does that dial colour have a name or a model number I can search for?

The Milanese strap wasn't available when I bought mine so I went for the black leather and bought a mesh strap. It isn't a great mesh strap if I'm honest, if you have the genuine item do you thinks it's worth it?

Thanks, it's the datejust II - ref 116334 - with the blue baton dial.

Thank you. I have a older Datejust that I never wear, and was going to get round to selling it. If I could get your dial fitted then I think that would give it a new lease of life.

There's a few on eBay, but none look like that exact colour.

Thanks again

Anonymous are a group of hackers (internet) who release data from kkk site and such like and use a white mask to hide identity i was referencing the black mask behind the watch.

Arabian Gulf, not too far from Abu Dhabi. Would have been nicer if I was allowed to drive, but they know my boat driving method is 'low flying'; as much of the hull as possible in the air and not in the water.
Ex-boot or Sapper rigid driver by any chance? They tended to be more airforce than naval by inclination as I recall.

The mask behind is in fact a reproduction Samurai Menpo and Kabuto, ( samurai armour )

Oh, no idea I'm afraid. It's a centre console fibreglass job, about 40 foot long, 10 foot beam and twin Mercury 225's. Top whack when the sea is calm is over 40 kts. When the sea is not calm you get really wet from all the spray if you gun it too hard. Standard oilfield issue, as they say, and being an oil company the 1.5 mpg it does is irrelevant.

edit: just realised you were talking about the driver and not the boat. The driver is Filipino but mean enough looking to be a ninja or whatever they call Filipino special forces. I'm very polite to him!
