Lovely Speedy on an excellent looking strap. smile
Thanks man! I've owned it nearly a year now, and couldn't be happier. I'm yet to encounter an occasion it doesn't suit.

The strap is the Hirsch Rally smile
Tried diving wink

I should have known someone would pick that out... ;-)

But on the plus side, space travel shouldn't pose an issue!

Original beater. A bit scuffed up, but still very much loved.

400 mile round trip just for a Pasty, a bit gratuitous......But then again, It's a Barnecutts giant chuck steak pasty.

We once had a very scruffy customer turn up - in the construction industry, you really have to go some for that to be remarkable. He looked as though he'd spent the morning sweeping a chimney, personally, as in using himself rather than brushes.

On the passenger seat of his mode of transport - a primer grey FSO pick up - was what looked like three months worth of paperwork, weighed down with a half-eaten pastie. Not sure if it was a permanent fixture. I bet his account loved doing his books.

Back to the workhorse today which I've moved to a leather strap, the blue doesn't show up so well in the photo.

Got one of my favourites on today - sadly the mesh bracelet doesn't fit my wrist unless I use the dive extension which means two clasps and looks odd so its on a vanilla smelling Isofrane...

Right - I can't be the only one. I have no clue what a random shot of a pastry based product has to do with watches (even if it is taken in a car).

Tuffer - can you explain in very simple terms please?
Digga - you seem to get the inside joke, so if you see this before Tuffer, perhaps you might be polite enough to enlighten us?

Thank you.

People started posting "wrist shots" showing their car steering wheels. This was the only "wrist shot" I had but it seems to have missed out my watch.

Yep its the re-issue - my father has an original which is his first watch from his first pay packet way back. Its so understated and most of the time few people have ever heard of Eterna - more often than not people assume unless its a Rolex it must be cheap. So its nice to wear something so mistaken.

I have quite a few older Eterna's in my collection since they are fairly affordable and despite having big wrists I do like a more classic sized watch - some of the modern watches are too big and bling for my tastes.

Thanks for the compliment

One of my favourite watches.
I sold my quartz one last year and will replace it with an automatic one some time later this year.
Lovely watch that.

I got confused because there was a thread about cars and watches and put a wrist/steering wheel shot up which was rightly shot-down as being ostentatious (not nearly as ostentatious as a steering wheel/artisan food product shot, but I digress) although in mitigation, there were two previous shots of watches and range Rover steering wheels which did not elicit such brickbats.

Proof positive that people hate Porsche drivers unless they are eating pasties. You're now fully up to speed.

Thanks, it's a pre-owned quartz which I picked up several years ago. A real bargain when you consider that the quartz is no longer available and the price of the automatic now.

I've considered trading it in but can't bare to part with it
