gotta be honest i think i'd rather have an old soviet than one of these. They're probably equally as accurate... and they're differently interesting.

No, tried to increase bid but couldnt get it to work so it sold for 7p more than my highest bid i think at £1.07 including shipping. Will keep my eye out for another.

Tried my hand at watch modding, smashed 2 crystals and broke the second hand wheel meaning I can't fit the hand. But we learn from our mistakes. I'm quite pleased with it despite being an oaf...

How do you like the ProHunter?

I fancied one but wasn't convinced I'd wear it enough so I bought a Steinhart Ocean Black to see how I got on. I like it but I only wear it intermittently. So I never took the second step. But I do still occasionally consider buying one. Or another DLCed Rolex.

Thanks all. It's a very special watch in its own right, but more so as I inherited it from my uncle who passed away last year. He was a dive supervisor, so the deep sea is a nice nod to that and the prohunter aspect really makes it feel unique and special.

In terms of the watch itself, it's my first Rolex. Lots of nice features and I 'get' them now, before I had picked one up and just spent time looking at it I didn't understand the hype around them, but they're lovely things to behold. All I can say so far is that Prohunter appear to have done a quality job, I certainly wouldn't know it's ever been fully stripped, coated and reassembled. Knowing what it cost though I guess that's a given.

I don't really pop in here much but I've been looking for a watch for a couple of months, nothing in my price bracket really struck me. However I spotted this last week and took the plunge.

Something different for Friday today.

There's a Sinn 6100 Classic Regulateur in there somewhere among the hair...
