Is the movement on the watch skeleton'ised? It's kind of an interesting design. https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/a-week-on-the-wr...

have been wearing this blast from the past. Rolex Explorer 5504.
Not my finest moment - it had an original dial that was poor but still usable. I bought this years ago and didn't understand how Rolex worked and it came back with a new dial, hands and crystal.
About 12 years later I have stopped being massively annoyed at myself and have started wearing it.

I am a bit torn regarding originality. If you owned the watch from new and you put the patina on it I think preserving it is good policy. Ditto if it is a watch of historic importance. But if it's a watch previously owned by persons unknown I see no problem in having it refurbished. Not my finest moment - it had an original dial that was poor but still usable. Though whether I would trust Rolex to do it is entirely another matter.
Was having a great weekend until yesterday when at a charity event someone drove into my car and drove off without leaving me any details - looks like the headlight tabs have broken off - replacement headlight is a joke - so to try and ease the pain wearing one of my favourites (sham the damage will likely cost more than the watch!).
Happy wearing.
Happy wearing.
Thanks!
It came on black alligator but I switched to brown for summer
In fact, I can't imagine going to black unless its being worn at a black tie do.
Really pleased now I've got used to it not being so big as I hoped....Going for a Pan for more casual stuff so that will satisfy the "big" need

I just love this Sinn Space Chronograph. I have an old copy of the Wristwatch Annual from 1999 that features it as well as an advert for Bell & Ross showing an almost identical model with a dial that says 'Bell & Ross by Sinn'. There is also a very similar Tutima model although it is referred to as the Air Force Chronograph T model.
