I'm lucky enough to have a Tag Aquaracer automatic. Before I shell out £400 for a service / minor repair (crown pin thread) to Goldsmiths / Ernest Jones, can anyone recommend a local place that'll do a good job?

Send it to Variomatic.

I had no idea this place existed until someone else mentioned them.

Dunno if they are actually any good, but I'm sure they had a few positive reviews on here.

Good call, I used Rocco for a case restoration that my regular guys were uncertain of. The quality of the returned work was first class, a really excellent job. If his servicing is to the same standard then you'll be in safe hands.

I've left it in the capable hands of Rocco. He tested it and said it doesn't need a service so will just repair it for me. Very honest of him as I'd have happily paid!
