I've got a Bulova Precisionist on it's way to me, I thought it unusual as it has a smooth sweeping second hand but is still a quartz movement. It's also 200m water resistant, so in theory I should be able to wear it for swimming (trying to time myself for lengths, need to improve!). I'll try and post pictures when it arrives, just wondered if anyone had owned/currently owns one and what your thoughts are?

I picked up a Precisionist Wilton about a year ago. Very nice looking watch but it's a big sucker at 46mm - doubly so on my spindly wrists hehe

The 1/1000th of a second chrono is very cool though completely pointless except as a talking point.

Overall, very pleased with it - it gets a good amount of wear.

Good review of this model on A Blog to Watch

I have a Bulova Precisionist Claremont - had it nearly three years and its great.

Totally dependable, comfortable to wear and that second hand is eerie in the way it sweeps so smoothly.
Some interesting design features too - curved crystal, and three dimensional faceted face (not really visible in the image).
Battery apparently only lasts a year but mine has just gone flat last month.
For a fairly budget brand they are excellent value.

Got two of them, both huge, heavy and 46mm diameter, the rose gold (as above) and the stainless steel chunky one.

Love them both, although they're useless if you're wearing a shirt - no chance that it'll fit under the cuff!

I would agree, it is huge! Mine has the carbon fibre effect dial and a two tone black and stainless steel bracelet. Unfortunately it only came with one extra link, so I have to use the extension to get it to fit, would like to use it without.

I find the Precisionists a bit OTT personally, but the recent UHF Bulovas are both very well priced and much less ostentatious, whilst still featuring the smooth second hand (actually, I think the UHF ones are smoother than Precisionists, but I'm sure that must be my imagination).
