Quick question I've recently discovered that my endowment policy from 1996 has an attached critical illness and unemployment cover that I didn't know about and didn't ask for.Cheeky bds.I recently advised them I want to claim this back for mis-selling.A few days later(funny that) I received a letter stating the payments for this aspect are too low and want to increase them, attached was a form of consent to send them.

My question is,considering I don't want/need this and intend to claim,do I not fill the form which will result in this add on being cancelled or fill in the form giving consent until my claim is processed then cancel. My worry is if I consent to the increase then this means I accept the insurance and my claim will be useless.

What should I do please.

talk to ombudsman and they will tell you exactly what you need to know rather than take advice here and its wrong.

they have dedicated departments and will tell you everything you need to know.

Well they're optimistic, I'll give them that.
