Hi looking at a 2003 Sub black no date with jubilee bracelet. Wasn't sure at first but bracelet grown on me and my Yachtmaster has the more tradition type of strap so this would make a nice difference. My mate just lent me his Breitling Bentley for a few weeks while he was away and that has a jubilee type bracelet which I liked.

What's the consensus, any horror stories? Are they deemed less/more comfy? Resale should I wish to move it on, are they harder to move with Jubilee on?

Interested to hear anyone's thoughts

The Submariner AFAIK has never come on a Jubilee as standard, they come on the Oyster with Oysterlock clasp.
As this OEM part is missing the value would be affair bit lower

Ahhhh interesting so you cannot spec them with that bracelet from new then... So the bracelet will have been replaced at some point and someone decided to put a jubilee on. I wonder if it's a genuine rolex jubilee strap or not

No you can't, a GMT-II you could, but not on the Submariner range

Jubilee bracelet is more susceptible to stretch than the Oyster bracelet.

Also, it doesn't have the Oyster Sub safety clasp.

A Jubilee is more for a dress watch (IMHO). On a Sub it just looks WRONG.

agree the clasp looks st imo but I quite liked it on a black no date - it's gone anyway!

GMT came with a jubilee and looked great with it as well. Worth tracking down.

As mentioned above a Sub on a Jubilee isn't original.

I have a Pepsi GMT on a Jubilee which I love, Magnum PI wore one!
